Care data stays inside the circle. Famielda is a family care workspace — not a public directory, hospital system, or advertising network. Access is enforced by signed-in roles. Card numbers stay with Stripe.
1. Overview
Famielda helps families, caregivers, and health practitioners coordinate care around one senior, one circle, and one week. To do that, households store information that can be personal, sensitive, and health-related.
This Privacy Policy describes:
- What we collect when you visit the public site, create an account, or use the workspace.
- How that information is used to run the product, keep it secure, and improve it.
- Who can see it — especially other members of a care circle.
- The choices you have, including account deletion.
By creating an account or using Famielda, you agree to this Policy and to our Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Who we are
Famielda operates the service at famielda.web.app, including the public website, the signed-in workspace, and Famielda Mobile. In this Policy, “Famielda,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the operator of that service. “You” means a visitor, account holder, or other person whose information is submitted to Famielda.
Questions about privacy can be sent through our contact form. Signed-in households can also reach operations from Help inside the workspace.
3. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information others in a circle provide about a senior or the household, and information generated as you use the product.
Account and profile
When you register we collect your first name, last name, email address, phone number and country, password, and the role you choose (family, caregiver, or health practitioner). We also store email-verification status, onboarding progress, notification preferences, and — if you upload one — a profile photo.
Senior profiles and care records
Family members may create a senior profile and a shared record for that person. Depending on the household and plan, this can include preferred name, contacts, care preferences, medications and dose history, appointments, care-plan tasks, visit check-ins, activities, notes, care status, documents (for example insurance or directives), and related files. This information is provided by the circle, not generated as a diagnosis by Famielda.
Care circle, scheduling, and messages
We store invitations, membership, permissions, caregiver availability, scheduled visits, overlap locks, and messages sent inside a household conversation. Invitation emails include the recipient address you enter.
Professional verification
Caregivers and health practitioners may submit identity and credential documents (for example a license or certificate) for review. We store those files, the professional type you select, and verification status (pending, under review, verified, rejected, or suspended). A verified badge is shown to the circle only after review.
Billing
If a household upgrades to Famielda Plus, Stripe processes payment. We store subscription plan, status, renewal dates, and invoice references. We do not store full card numbers or Stripe secret keys in the workspace.
Support, referrals, and public contact
Help Center tickets, problem reports, and the public contact form collect the name, email, topic, and message you send, plus the page URL. Family referral codes may store the referrer’s name and the invitee’s email so a household can be matched after sign-up.
Device, notifications, and technical data
To operate the service we may collect browser or app type, approximate time zone, authentication session data, push-notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and coarse operational signals such as the route where an error occurred. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and authenticate accounts, and keep web and mobile on the same login.
- Run the workspace: senior profiles, the care circle, the week, messages, documents, and reminders.
- Enforce roles and plan limits (Free and Plus).
- Review professional verification files.
- Process Plus checkout, invoices, and cancellations through Stripe.
- Send transactional email and, if you enable them, in-app and push notifications — including invitations and emergency-status alerts the circle should not miss.
- Respond to support and contact requests.
- Protect the service (rate limits, suspension, audit logs, fraud and abuse prevention).
- Understand product usage with events that exclude care content, as described below.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use care records for advertising.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate Famielda:
- Other members of that senior’s care circle — according to their role and permissions. This is the primary way care data is “shared.”
- Famielda operations and administrators — to review verification, support tickets, billing issues, security events, and platform health. Administrators are not a public audience.
- Service providers — such as Google Firebase (hosting, authentication, database, storage, functions, messaging) and Stripe (payments), who process data on our instructions.
- Legal and safety — if we believe disclosure is required by law, necessary to protect someone’s vital interests, or needed to prevent abuse of the service.
- Business transfers — if Famielda is involved in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, information may transfer under continued confidentiality commitments.
We do not list caregivers or seniors in a public directory. Professionals join a household by invitation.
6. Care-circle access
The household that owns a senior workspace controls who is invited. Family, caregiver, and practitioner roles have different permissions — for example, who can edit the profile, manage the week, view clinical notes, or store documents. Cloud Functions and Firestore security rules enforce access. The browser is not the security boundary.
If you are invited into a circle, members of that circle will see information appropriate to your role (your name, role, visit record, and messages you send). If you leave or are removed, your live access ends; records already written (for example a completed visit note) may remain in the household history unless the household or Famielda deletes them as described in Retention.
People who create a senior profile represent that they have a legitimate basis to enter that person’s information — for example as a family member coordinating care, or with the person’s permission or other lawful authority. Do not add someone else’s health or identity information unless you are entitled to do so.
7. Service providers
Famielda relies on established infrastructure:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Hosting, and Firebase Cloud Messaging. Google’s processing is described in the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.
- Stripe — checkout, invoices, and the customer portal. Stripe’s terms and privacy notice apply to payment data. See Stripe Privacy.
- Fonts and delivery — public pages may load typefaces from Google Fonts so the site can render consistently.
These providers may process data in the United States or other countries where they operate. Where they act as processors, they do so to provide the services we have configured.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Famielda uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are needed to run the product:
- Essential — sign-in session, security, load balancing, and remembering choices such as notification preferences or a referral code.
- Workspace — short-lived UI state (for example which navigation group is open) stored in the browser.
- Notifications — a device token if you enable browser or mobile push.
We do not run third-party advertising pixels on Famielda. You can block cookies in your browser; essential storage is required to stay signed in. Clearing site data will sign you out.
9. Analytics and monitoring
Product analytics records event names and coarse context such as role, plan, and opaque identifiers (for example that a visit was completed — not the notes from the visit). It does not store names, emails, medications, diagnoses, or message bodies.
Operational monitoring records error codes, routes, timings, and similar signals so we can keep the service reliable. It is configured not to store care content, passwords, or stack traces that include query strings with personal data.
These signals are used for product health and operations, not for selling data or targeting ads.
10. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to a care-coordination workspace, including authenticated access, role-based permissions, encrypted transport (HTTPS), private document storage rather than public links, and server-enforced rules. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. You are responsible for using a strong password, keeping your device locked, and inviting only people who should see that household’s record.
If you believe an account or circle has been compromised, change the password, remove unexpected members, and contact us or open a signed-in Help ticket.
11. Retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, and meet legal obligations.
- Account and workspace data remain until you delete the account or a household owner removes related records, subject to backups and audit logs that may persist for a limited period.
- Support tickets and verification reviews may be kept as operational records after a file is closed.
- Billing records are retained as required for tax, accounting, and Stripe’s own retention.
- If you delete your account from Settings, the same login is removed on web and mobile. Care data tied solely to that account cannot be recovered. Household records others still need may remain with the circle.
12. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to appeal a denial. Famielda provides practical controls in the product:
- Update your name and notification preferences in Settings.
- Correct senior and care records if your role allows editing.
- Leave a circle or ask the household owner to change your permissions.
- Delete your account from Settings → Account (password required).
- Disable browser push from Settings → Notifications. Emergency-status alerts for signed-in circle members stay available in the in-app inbox so urgent care status is not missed.
- Cancel Plus from Settings → Subscription; access continues through the end of the paid period.
To request access or deletion beyond what the workspace provides, use the contact form from the email on your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
If you are in a jurisdiction with a dedicated privacy regulator, you may also lodge a complaint with that authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
California and similar U.S. state laws
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined. We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics for advertising. Authorized agents may submit a request through the contact form; we will verify the agent and the consumer before acting.
13. Children
Famielda is a family care product for adult households and professionals. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Senior profiles describe adults. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Health information and professional obligations
Famielda is software for coordination. It is not a covered health-care provider, hospital, pharmacy, medical device, or emergency service, and it does not diagnose, prescribe, or treat. Information in a senior record may still be sensitive health information because families and professionals put it there.
Health practitioners and other licensed professionals remain responsible for their own legal, ethical, and employer obligations — including any privacy or medical-records rules that apply to their practice. Famielda’s verification badge confirms that we reviewed documents the professional submitted; it is not hospital credentialing and not a substitute for those duties.
Do not use Famielda as the sole system of record for regulated clinical documentation if your profession requires a different system.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the product or the law changes. The “Effective” date at the top will change. Material updates may also be noted in the product or by email to the address on your account. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy. The current version will always be published at this URL.
